Thrifty Tip - Drink Water

Often we drink lots of calories through sodas, coffee, juices, tea, etc. This costs a lot too. Drink water, save money, save calories.

You may argue that the juices provide needed vitamins your body must have. If you think about it, it is much more crucial that your body has water. Only water can flush away fat cells and toxic waste from our bodies. Your body can get the needed vitamins from your three meals a day.

To make it an easy transition, start by merely cutting back on your drink purchases. Allow yourself to run out, so your family gets used to drinking water. Over a process of time you will no longer need to buy the drinks, because they will automatically go for water.

If you are addicted to coffee, this may not be as easy of a transition. It took me three weeks to get over the withdrawal symptoms, but I'm happy I did. It may take some coaxing to get your husband off of the stuff, but in time he may see the light. I find that just by having him drink coffee, I need to buy two small cans a month. Don't expect a miracle in this area.
