Canning Ground Beef

(YouTube link)

The canning section of the video starts at :30.

I've only canned ground beef by browning it in a skillet. Once you have browned all the beef, add it to the jars, and put 1/2 tsp. salt on top. You can substitute a beef bullion cube for the salt if you want to intensify the flavor of the meat. You can also add chopped onions, celery and peppers to each jar of ground beef, but it isn't necessary.

Ground beef can be used for spaghetti and casseroles.I can mine in quart jars, but a pint jar is good for small families.
