Homeschool Spelling & Vocabulary

If you've been homeschooling for a while, you will learn that there are ways to obtain curriculum without spending money. This may be something you will consider in the future, especially since the economy is expected to get worse.

The internet offers a wonderful resource for those who don't mind doing a little research. There are websites from elementary, middle, and high schools who publish their spelling lists. There are other sites offering spelling and vocabulary words, and they are free for the taking. Just do a specific Google search, and you will locate the grade level you need.

This is a sample spelling list provided for the 10th grade, and a vocabulary list.

Math can be taught with library books, internet sample problems, and YouTube. Someone is always eager to teach you how to do certain types of problems over the internet and through videos.

So if the money doesn't come together for curriculum, no sweat. Just find out what topics are covered, and then dig a little.
